My traditional stay in Marrakech

Riad Abaka

In march 2017 my Husband & I took our first trip to Africa - Morocco. We stayed 4 days in Agadir and 4 days in Marrakech. In Agadir we stayed at a nice resort right by the beach, so we decided to book a more traditional stay for our days in Marrakech. We had few criterias, and they were all met. We were looking for a traditionel riad, with a central location and clean rooms.

Our stay at Riad Abaka

The Riad is located in between small streets that leads to the central Jamaa Fna in less than 10 minutes. The Riad is a roofless building which is a very common way to build around the Middle East and some of Africa. It consists of 3 floors whereas our room was located on the ground floor.

Rooms

Every room has its own bathroom and the breakfast is served on the rooftop. From the rooftop you get a beautiful view of the other buildings and some of Marrakech from above. The rooms are small but comfortable and pretty. The staff here is almost the best part. Beside it being classic and culturally furnished, the staff are the sweetest people ever.

Service

We had like the best service staying here, and was helped through the small streets to Jamaa Fna and to the main streets to get a cap. I would definitely stay here again If and when I revisit Marrakech.
